About Us

Hi, I’m Steph Elliott

I first heard about Elimination Communication (EC), or Baby Pottying as I prefer to call it, years ago in passing. But for some reason it never crossed my mind to try it. Maybe it was the whirlwind of being thrown into parenthood, or simply that I didn’t know anyone else doing it.

Fast forward to 2025: my second son was 10 weeks old when I was reminded of it through watching Katherine Ryan’s experience.

On his very next wake-up I held him over the sink — and he went! It was such a simple, satisfying moment. From then on, I was hooked. The more I discovered, the more convinced I was that this was the way forward.

After experiencing all the wondering aspects of baby pottying myself, I now share what I’ve learned to help other parents discover there’s another way—one that doesn’t rely on nappies alone.

I first sat my eldest daughter on a potty at four months old, with little idea what I was doing. We learned as we went, supported by an online community. She was out of nappies by 20 months.

That experience converted me. I went on to research baby pottying deeply, immerse myself in discussions, and became a fully-fledged pottying nerd to support other parents.

When my youngest arrived, I used what I’d learned and began giving back in earnest to the community that had supported me so much. Today, I offer advice, encouragement and solidarity in Facebook and WhatsApp groups. You can book a Zoom session with me for support starting baby pottying up to 12 months old.
